NFSI Community Update - April 2022

May 2, 2022

by Mladen Nedimović , Graeme Cairns

Dear Friends,

April was a mostly quiet month at the NFSI. We are getting close to signing the agreement for storing one full and two half containers at the COVE, and are soon to purchase these containers. The plan is to have the containers painted white to reduce the temperature inside during the warm summer months, when the Lithium batteries are most prone to damage.

We started to prepare for our mini workshop at the NFSI, which will take place on Thursday, May 19, immediately after the GAC-MAC meeting. See the agenda below. For those that plan to attend, could you please confirm before the end of this week by writing to nfsi@nfsi.ca so that we can have the exact numbers for planning purposes. Please note that we are focusing on people that will be here in person. However, we will provide a zoom link for the last session ("Brainstorming possible future project proposals") to those that are planning to apply for funding to use the NFSI BOBS instruments.
