Happy New Year! We hope that you had wonderful holidays.

We have been hard at work over the last year preparing to launch the National Facility for Seismic Imaging. We are very pleased to announce that a contract has been signed with Güralp to provide the broadband ocean-bottom seismometers (BBOBS) which will form the core of the facility, effective January 1, 2021. The first instruments should start arriving by June 2021, with the full 120 delivered by March 2023. Please see also Güralp's media release. We look forward to using these instruments to perform research surveys beginning this summer.

All the best,

NFSI Staff
